Plates & Coils

We offer ultrasonic, eddy current (for Hard Spots) and hybrid plate testing systems. These systems can be categorized in three categories namely manual trolley, semi-automatic gantry and fully automatic online/offline systems.

Ultrasonic/Eddy Current (Hard Spot) Plate Testing Trolley

The RIDER is a manual trolley system with a sophisticated, PC-based, and flexible SonaFlex platform. It tests the quality of plates and slabs using ultrasonic waves (UT) or Eddy Current (EC) for Hard Spots.

Salient Features

  • Perfect signal-to-noise ratio
  • Thickness 3 – 250 mm
  • Material – carbon steel etc.
  • Plates are to be tested on the floor
  • Small or no untested zones at edges
  • Temperature from +0 °C to +40 °C
  • High & smooth sensitivity through the whole plate thickness
  • Test capacity – upto 7 plates/hour (for 12m x 4m plate)
  • Meets most of international standards & specifications
  • Minimum Hard spot size 10 mm x 10 mm or less *
  • No influence of rolling scale *
  • No influence of residual magnetization *
  • Demagnetization is not required *

*Applicable for the eddy-current (Hard spot) testing system
