Bars & Billets

We offer ultrasonic, Magnetic flux leakage (MFL), Magnetic particle inspection and hybrid bars & billets testing systems. These systems can be categorized into different categories Ultrasonic is for internal, sub surface and surface defects, MFL for surface longitudinal defects and MPI for surface and near surface defects.

Ultrasonics Systems for Bars & Billets

These systems are designed for the inspection of bars, billets and profiles. Systems come with an immersion tank in which the probes are submerged and employ conventional/phased-array methods to provide increased flexibility and the capability to detect internal, subsurface and surface defects.

Ultrasonics Immersion Scanner (as per SEP 1927)

To meet the requirements of SEP 1927 (inspection of round and rectangular cross sections with diameters/sizes up to 100 mm), we have designed a 4 axis immersion tank equipped with multiple fixtures, including a turntable, rotating device, and supports for flat specimens, enabling inspection of work pieces with various geometries.

We have also developed a dedicated software for data recording and evaluation in accordance with the SEP 1927

Salient Features

  • 4 axis Immersion Scanner with Aluminum Frame
  • Motorized X, Y, Z & R
  • High quality encoders and DC servo motors
  • Real-time A, B and C-Scans
  • Data analysis & reporting
  • Windows based, multi-tasking software
